The best recommended food during this stage is mother’s milk or formula. As your baby’s digestive tract is still developing, solid food is strictly forbidden. Also, avoid feeding your child on cow’s milk before 12 months of age.
Between the ages of 0 and 4 months, your baby will:

  • turn his head toward sounds and voices;
  • stare at bright objects and follow them with his eyes;
  • move his arms together and apart;
  • bring his hands to his mouth, and possibly suck on his own hands or fingers.
